The Irish countryside is dotted with the remains of numerous castles and strongholds of Irish Chieftains. Here, along with Ross Castle, we have the world famous Blarney Castle in County Cork which was the stronghold of one of Ireland's greatest chiefs, Cormac McCarthy. Located outside of Cork city, visitors can kiss the Blarney Stone to be endowed with the gift of eloquence.

Malahide Castle is one of the oldest and most historic castles in Ireland. It is home to 5 ghosts, none of whom made themselves known to us, more's the pity!

Ross Castle, Killarney

Ross Castle on the banks Lough Leane was a stronghold of the O'Donoghue Ross chieftain in the 15th Century. His ghost is said to rise from the lake on his white horse every first day of May!

Located in County Kerry, the remains of Minard Castle stand precariously on the edge of a storm beach in Kilmurray Bay. Known to the locals, we 'discovered' it on our quest to find St. John's Holy Well which is also found on this property.
